Cookie Policy – CreatePurpose Project

Last updated: 20.07.2026

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies this website (createpurpose.eu) uses, why, and how you can control them. It complements our Data Protection Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function correctly, remember your preferences, and — where you consent — understand how visitors use the site.

2. Necessary Cookies (Always Active)

These cookies are essential for the website to work and do not require your consent under GDPR.

  • Cookie consent preference — remembers your cookie choices, so you are not asked again on every visit.
  • WordPress core cookies (e.g. wordpress_test_cookie, session/login cookies) — used only if you log in to manage the site; not set for regular visitors.
  • Cache cookie (SpeedyCache) — a technical cookie that helps the site serve the correct version of a page (e.g. logged-in vs. public view).

3. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies would support features such as social sharing widgets or embedded content (e.g. a YouTube video or Instagram feed placed directly on a page).

Currently, this website does not use functional cookies. The social media icons in our footer are plain links to our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube pages — clicking them takes you to those platforms, where their own cookie policies apply. If we later embed social content directly on the site, this section will be updated accordingly.

4. Analytical Cookies

We use Jetpack Stats (by WordPress.com/Automattic) to understand how many people visit our site, which pages are most viewed, and which countries/referrers our visitors come from. This helps us improve the website and report on project outreach.

  • Cookies set: WordPress.com/Jetpack tracking cookies (commonly prefixed tk_, e.g. tk_ai, tk_qs).
  • Purpose: aggregate visit statistics (page views, visitor counts, top content, general location, referral source).
  • These cookies are only set if you accept the “Analytical” category in our cookie banner.

5. Advertisement Cookies

This website does not currently run any advertising or tracking pixels (e.g. no Google Ads, no Meta/Facebook Pixel). This category is included in our cookie banner for completeness and in case this changes in the future; if it does, this policy will be updated before any such cookies are activated.

6. How to manage your preferences

You can change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie settings link available at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.

7. Third-party links

Our footer links to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. These are external platforms with their own privacy and cookie policies, which we do not control. We recommend reviewing their policies directly if you choose to visit them.

This Cookie Policy may be updated as the website evolves (e.g. if new features, embeds, or analytics tools are added). The current version is always available on this page.
